Carl L. Toney Joy of Discovery Scholar
The Kean University Foundation is delighted to announce the establishment of The Carl L. Toney Joy of Discovery Endowed Scholarship Fund, which has been made possible through a generous gift from Jeffrey H. Toney, Ph.D., FSX, Professor Emeritus and former Provost and Vice President for Faculty and Research at Kean University. This gift serves to honor the legacy of Dr. Jeffrey Toney’s late father, while also supporting student academic research at Kean University through a paid internship.
This internship opportunity is highly competitive as only one undergraduate student will be selected for the Spring 2024 semester. The selected scholar must be prepared to conduct an academic research project or a creative arts project in collaboration with a faculty mentor at Kean University, or a faculty member at a R1 institution, in partnership with Kean. All interested students are encouraged to apply. Strong preference will be given to first-generation college students from diverse backgrounds in their chosen field of study.
