How do I get started?

If you are interested in getting involved in faculty-mentored research or creative project, take the first step by emailing the Center For Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) at curf@kean.edu. A member of the CURF team will contact you to set up an appointment (either face to face or virtual) to discuss your interests. CURF will guide and assist you throughout the engagement process and connect you to a faculty mentor who shares your research or creative interest. After your match, you will have the opportunity to meet with your faculty mentor and learn about the research or creative project, faculty expectations, and your responsibilities before joining the project.

Many of the CURF programs do not require prior research experience. If you are a research rookie, you have reached the right place. We are excited to help you navigate your research journey and connect you to a scholarly community on-campus. We are just one email away!
