Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report
The Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report is a Kean University publication that provides important campus life, public and fire safety information to all current students and employees and is made available upon request to prospective students and employees. The report is accessible to the public via the Kean University website.
The information provided in this newsletter is updated annually and has been expanded in compliance with the Higher Education Amendments of 1998 and 2008. These regulations are primarily located in sub-sections of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, as amended by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 (referred to as the Clery Act).
This document also complies with provisions of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988; the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989; the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (Campus SaVE); the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and other Federal and New Jersey State laws.
