Enrolling & Making Changes to Your Health Benefits
Through mynjbenefitshub — also known as Benefitsolver® — you will have access to manage your SHBP benefits such as plan changes, etc. You will also have the ability to add or remove dependents and upload supporting documents. You will have 24/7 access to mynjbenefitshub through your computer and a mobile app.
Enrollments in medical, prescription drug and dental plans must be submitted online using the state system, Benefitsolver (myNJbenefitshub)
The Company Key is SHBP/SEHBP (all capital letters)

myNJBenefitsHub Enrollment Guide
- Step 1: Register to access the Benefitsolver Registration portal - this will prompt you to create an account
- Step 2: Login to Benefitsolver and select plans - this is where enrollments and plan changes can be made
- Employees who want to make plan changes will be able to access Benefitsolver through the myNewJersey portal. Those who do not have a myNewJersey account must create one in order to access Benefitsolver.
- Step 3: Upload required supporting documentation

New Hires health elections must be submitted online through Benefitsolver which can be accessed via the myNewJersey account portal. Please note that rates may also be viewed in the portal.
For continuing employees, the State Health Benefits Program holds its annual open enrollment each fall (usually in October). During open enrollment, employees may change plans or add dependents to their coverage. Contact the Office of Human Resources for the specific dates of open enrollment, or visit the Open Enrollment page.
Changes in health coverage due to life events, such as marriage, birth of a child, divorce, may be made within 60 days of the event date. Employees must advise the Office of Human Resources immediately of any change in personal status which might affect the employee's benefits coverage. You may drop your coverage at any time.
