SUPERA Staff
Rosa Aleida Paulino serves as Director and Counselor (Last Names A-D) for the SUPERA Spanish Speaking Program. Rosa is twice an alumna of Kean University, earning both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a double major in Management and a Master of Public Administration.
Rosa has served in different roles at Kean, having worked in various units, including the previous Center for Academic Success, Transfer Student Services, the One-Stop Service Center, the School of General Studies, and the School of Nursing, where she served as the Manager Assistant Director and played a vital role in the restructuring of the school and the successful completion of their reaccreditation process.
Rosa is passionate about student success and self-advocacy. She enjoys nature, traveling, and meeting new people.
Genesis Holguin is the Program Coordinator for the SUPERA Spanish Speaking Program. Genesis has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from New Jersey City University.
Genesis supports the implementation of various programs and events. She provides administrative and clerical support to the Director and staff of the program. Additionally, she assists students with general inquiries and outreach.
Genesis values education and will soon enroll in a Master’s program. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing volleyball.
Erika Jimenez Garcia serves as a Counselor for the SUPERA Spanish Speaking Program (Last Names N-Z). Erika has earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in College Counseling and Student Services from Kean University.
Prior to joining SUPERA, Erika worked for the Office of Computer Services at Kean University. She supported students and faculty with technology inquiries, assisted with special events, and facilitated the training of students. While obtaining her Master’s degree, Erika completed her practicums at the Passion Care Center, where she maintained and managed a caseload of clients and facilitated group-counseling sessions. She also interned at Kean University’s Career Services and Student Success and Retention, where she conducted academic counseling sessions and psychoeducation workshops.
As a bilingual professional, Erika strives to empower the Spanish-speaking community at Kean University to take advantage of all the available opportunities.
Daniel Torres-Reyes serves as a Counselor for the SUPERA Spanish Speaking Program (Last Names E-M). Daniel has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business with a Minor in Marketing. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in College Counseling and Student Services from Kean University and a Master of Science in Spanish from Universidad de Salamanca.
Daniel has worked in Higher Education since 2011 and enjoys advising students on their career path and decision-making. He has led many educational workshops to help students transition from High School to College. Daniel is passionate about mentoring and building professional relationships with students.
