ACADEMIC ADVISING

The SUPERA Spanish Speaking Program aims to serve students in all academic aspects. Our goal is to ensure that students succeed and reach their optimal potential by providing academic and professional guidance.

Students are required to meet with their designated advisor each semester to ensure their academic success.

Students Responsibilities

SUPERA Advisor Responsibilities

Meet with their advisor regularly and share any academic difficulties.
Attend scheduled events and workshops for their academic progress and success.
Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Review the curriculum and 4-year plan prepared by their SUPERA advisor.
Connect with faculty advisors for specific and important questions about their course of study.

Inform students about the registration process, university policies, procedures, and resources offered by the University.
Develop academic plans.
Provide academic guidance and support.
Assist students in establishing goals and professional trajectories.
Generate reports regarding the status of each student.

Things to remember every semester

Review your account and address any restrictions. For example, immunization records, student accounting, counseling, and financial aid.
Communicate with your SUPERA advisor and faculty advisors before the registration period. (Note: check the registration information bulletin for your registration date).
Review the requirements of the courses you plan to register for and the curriculum.
Connect with your SUPERA advisor early in the semester if you need tutoring support or academic assistance in any of your classes.

Extracurricular Activities

Reflect on all the activities and jobs you participate in. Visit Career Services for more information about Internships and Job Opportunities.

Consider pursuing a Study Abroad experience or enrolling in a Travel Learn opportunity.
