Admission
- Assisting veteran students in the admission process as freshmen, transfer or graduate students
- According to the Principles of Excellence as stated in Executive Order 13607: Kean University does not, and has never, conducted fraudulent or aggressive recruiting on or off military installations or in any other venue, nor do we misrepresent ourselves, our programs or our mission. We do not pay incentive compensation to anyone for recruiting actions. We meet all state authorization requirements consistent with those issued by the Department of Education.

Advising
- Ensuring that veteran students understand and have knowledge of their respective chapters
- Providing information to veteran students during their transfer to Kean University
- Ensuring dependents understand VA policies
- Referring veteran students to various departments on the campus for any needed assistance
We will contact you before the start at each semester to make sure you get certified for the courses you take, including online and summer/winter sections.

- Veterans will receive a deferment on their account until certified for benefits and money received

- Kean V.E.T.S observes the NJ TEAM Act regarding in state tuition for Veterans, NJ TEAM Act
We will contact you before each semester to ensure you are certified for any courses you decide to take
We will assist our student veterans and dependents as best as possible to ensure a smooth university experience and to help you focus on your academics
Study
- Student Veterans Lounge and Resource Center found in Center for Academic Success (CAS) room 110
- Equipped with study and lounging areas with student veteran resources and reading material
- VA Academic Specialists and Social Workers present to assist with veteran and dependent visitors' needs
