Reserve Officer Training Corps
What is the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)?
The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a military leadership training opportunity, meant to coincide with and help fund (many times fully) a student's full-time university education. This allows those with interest in serving in the military to receive early training and receive the requisites for an Officer role upon degree completion. There are ROTC opportunities within every branch of service, and Kean University provides Army and Air Force ROTC in a Cross-Town collaboration with the New Jersey institute of Technology (Air Force) and Seton Hall University (Army).
For more information, find here an article by todaysmilitary.com about the ROTC program as a whole, as well as general benefits and requirements.

Army ROTC
The Army ROTC is an elective curriculum that is taken in conjunction with required University courses. The goal of the Army ROTC is to provide students with tools, training and experiences that will contribute to a successful future. Army ROTC can also assist with financing your education. Upon completion of their University course requirements, program members will graduate as officers in the United States Army.
Kean University students can take Army ROTC classes through a joint program with Seton Hall University.
