The inaugural Freshman Convocation is open to all incoming freshmen students as part of the Class of 2028. All students must register in Cougar App to attend (registration is now closed). Family and friends will be able to participate in the event by watching the live stream broadcast of the event.
What is the attire for the freshmen students?

What should students expect at the Freshman Convocation?
The students should arrive at 9 a.m. at the Miron Student Center (MSC) outside at the Clock Tower to begin check-in. There will be snacks while you wait to line up as we’ll march together as a class down Cougar Walk to be greeted by the Kean community to Hardwood Arena. The ceremony will include some messages from Kean officials, entertainment, and reciting the class pledge. After the ceremony, there will be a reception at Downs Hall with light refreshments and a photo booth to capture the moment. This will be a day to meet your fellow classmates and enjoy a day before classes start.
