Meet the Scholarship Services Team

As the Director of Scholarship Services, George leads his team in their mission to increase student awareness of scholarship opportunities available at Kean University. As a team, they partner with University colleagues in creating new opportunities and assisting students in making “smart” decisions as to how best to fund their education. Joining Kean University in 2023, he brings with him 30+ years of experience in private industry and education, as well as a wealth of knowledge in the fields of Finance, Accounting, Corporate Governance, and process improvement. As a scholarship recipient himself during his college years, he knows how impactful such awards can be for students looking to make a mark in the world. And because of this, he is working to create a culture within the Office of Scholarships that is student-centric. George attended Rider University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. While at Rider University, he was a proud recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Co. Minority Accounting scholarship, which not only helped fund his education, but also an internship. George received his MBA degree from Loyola College of Maryland and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Yurisa Santos
Associate Director of Scholarship Services

Yurisa Santos is currently the Associate Director of Scholarship Services. She has a Bachelors in Humanities from Montclair State University and a Masters in Higher Education from Seton Hall University. As a first generation college student and as an Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) participant, Yurisa is passionate about helping guide students and knows the importance of providing a supportive environment for students in order for them to succeed. In this role, Yurisa hopes to create impactful change by sharing the opportunities available at Kean through scholarships and creating a place for students to persist academically.

Tyler Clark
Operations Coordinator

Tyler Clark currently works as an Operations Coordinator in the Office of Scholarship Services. Tyler is a proud Kean University graduate having earned a Bachelor's in English. He is currently completing his Master's in English Writing Studies at Kean.

Chelsea Gray
Academic Specialist

Chelsea Gray is currently an Academic Specialist in the Office of Scholarship Services. Chelsea holds a Bachelor’s in communications and a Master’s in English Writing Studies both from Kean University. Chelsea brings a strong background in writing and student support, with a passion for helping students navigate their educational journeys.
