Kean University understands that there may be financial challenges faced by full-time undergraduate students that can pose a barrier to completion and graduation. This scholarship is meant to address those challenges by awarding up to $3,000 to cover a balance or up to two summer courses to students who will graduate by the end of the academic year. A limited number of these awards are available annually. Candidacy is reviewed and determined by Kean University and may be based on information from the FAFSA.
Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
1. Full-time undergraduate students with 90 credits or more, pledging to graduate within the academic year (January, May, or August).
2. Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $100,000 or less. This information has been entered on the FAFSA and will be confirmed by the Office of Scholarship Services.
3. A gap exists between the financial aid received and direct costs.
4. An application for graduation has been filed before receiving the award.
5. FAFSA filing required, except in special circumstances.
Please note:
FAFSA filing is not required for undocumented students, international students, or special circumstances. In addition, scholarship awards have no cash value, and we reserve the right to reduce the scholarship amount if the total of all federal, state, and other grant/scholarship awards exceed direct costs defined as tuition, university fees, on-campus room and board, if applicable.
