Mental Health Education, Outreach and Consultation
In addition to direct counseling services, Kean Counseling Center provides a range of other programs and activities to improve mental health in the campus community.
- Consultation: A faculty, staff, or parent who has a concern about a student can call us to discuss options of how to support the student. We are also available to talk about our services and referrals in the community.
- Mental Health Education: Access to mental health and wellness information is one of the ways that a campus can stay healthy. Kean Counseling Center meets this goal by actively providing presentations, tabling, and resource materials on mental health topics to students and campus professionals. We are available to meet with classes, conduct workshops, and be part of panel discussions. Some topics include:
- Dealing with College Stress
- Healthy Relationships
- Self-Care and You
- Effective Time Management

Campus Outreach: Kean Counseling Center also challenges mental health stigma by promoting our services to the campus through online posts and in-person activities. Our counselors are happy to come to your class, program, or club to talk about what we provide and how we can be helpful in your journey to improve your mental health and wellness.
