Delayed Opening on Monday, January 6

Due to a winter weather forecast, in-person classes and activities at all Kean USA campuses are canceled until 11 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025. Classes that begin at 11 a.m. or later will meet as scheduled. Students with an early morning class should consult with their faculty member to learn whether the course will be conducted remotely. Employees working remotely this week are expected to work during normal business hours on Monday. Those scheduled to report to campus should do so starting at 11 a.m. Employees deemed essential during weather emergencies should report to work as scheduled. Employees with questions about their status should consult their supervisors.

Kean University is a Bloomberg Experiential Learning Partner which unleashes the power of Bloomberg Technologies. Bloomberg Technologies are the go to source for over 385,000 financial professionals worldwide and Kean students have access to twenty Bloomberg Terminals through the Bloomberg Lab in Hynes Hall room 103.

Bloomberg lab

Bloomberg Terminals provide access to data, news, and analysis that drive business decision making. Courses in Finance, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain are using the lab to support research projects and of course learning about financial analysis, companies, markets and portfolio management.

Bloomberg for All – even if your class is not specifically using the Bloomberg Lab, you can use the terminals for your own research and earn the Bloomberg BMC credential.

Fall 2024 - Open Lab Hours 

  • Monday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: CLOSED
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

How to Sign Up for Bloomberg Education

  1. Click Bloomberg for Education to access the sign up portal. 
  2. Select Learner
  3. Sign up using your Kean email
  4. Create your own password

  5. A verification link will be sent to your Kean email. Verify & activate it
  6. Login
  7. Click on BMC at the top, and it will direct you to the BMC Modules
  8. To earn your BMC Certificate, you’ll need to finish the four core modules
  9. To learn how to navigate the Bloomberg Terminal, watch the “Terminal Basics” Module
