Student Award
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) invites faculty to nominate student researchers for Research Days 2024 Undergraduate and Graduate Student Research Award. The award recognizes excellence in research and creative work.
The deadline for nomination is Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:59pm. Based on the nominations received, one undergraduate and one graduate student will be selected for this award. The award recipients will receive an honorarium and a certificate at the Research Days 2024 event.

Faculty Research Mentor of the Year Award
The Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) invites you to nominate Kean faculty members for the Research Days 2024 Faculty Research Mentor of the Year Award. The award will recognize two outstanding full-time faculty members (one for mentoring at the Undergraduate level and one for mentoring at the Graduate Level) who embody the faculty-student research mentor relationship.
Successful candidates will:
- Have a record of significant student-mentored research activity outside of course-based research
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students in all aspects of the research process, including project conceptualization, methodology development, data analysis, and scholarly dissemination
- Foster a supportive and inclusive research environment that encourages collaboration, critical inquiry, and intellectual growth
- Demonstrate a meaningful impact on student mentees: publications, presentations, research internships
- Receive nominations from faculty peers, Chair, Executive Director or Dean as well as students
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm. Based on the nominations received from students, faculty, and Deans, two faculty members will be selected for this award. There will be two awards given, one to an Undergraduate Student Research Mentor and another to a Graduate Student Research Mentor. The award recipients will receive an honorarium and a certificate during Research Days 2024.
