Miron Student Center Scheduling Guide

Kean University has several locations on campus that can be reserved for conferences, meetings, seminars, etc. To contact the appropriate department, please review the facilities scheduling guide below. 

Miron Student Center 

The facility has a large Multi-Purpose Event Space that can seat up to 178 occupants lecture-style. There are four meeting rooms where the divider can be removed to make two larger rooms. There are also two small conference rooms that can seat up to 10 occupants. The Little Theatre, Pre-Function Lobby, Greek Lounge and Cougar's Den are also available. Reservations for this building are only taken on a semester-by-semester basis, and priority is given to student groups. Reservations for all Miron Student Center spaces can be made through EMS.

Note: Any requests for the Miron Student Center Atrium must be approved by the Miron Student Center director. Reservations for all Student Center spaces can be made through EMS.

Downs Hall

Downs Hall is a very popular area that can be reserved for large conferences, receptions, banquets and small meetings. It contains two large dining rooms that can seat up to 170 occupants. The dining rooms can be reserved as one large area or divided with collapsible partitions. The Patio area of Downs Hall can accommodate 100 occupants. Student groups need to participate in the Event Lottery in order to secure a reservation for Downs Hall.  

Kean Hall

Kean Hall is a historical masterpiece on campus. It has one large conference room which can accommodate 128 occupants lecture-style. It can be reserved for conferences, lectures, meetings, receptions, etc. It also has three small conference rooms that have occupancy levels of eight, 13 and 16, respectively. Reservations can be made through the President's Office: (908) 737-7000. 

Wilkins Theater 

Our largest facility has a seating capacity of 956. It can be reserved for theatrical events, lectures and concerts. Call the Theatre Management and Programming Office at (908) 737-4350 for availability.

Center for Academic Success 

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) is a cornerstone of Kean University's commitment to opportunity. It has three conference rooms that can accommodate 18 people. 

Harwood Arena and Alumni Stadium 

The Harwood Arena is made up of three basketball courts with bleacher seating for 2,500 spectators, with a 750-foot-long track surrounding the courts in second-story height. The Alumni Stadium has a football field and track.
