Human Rights in Action
Join the Human Rights Institute and the Holocaust Resource and Education Center at Kean University for this summer’s pre-college program Human Rights in Action (July 21-24). Using the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, students will learn about the fundamentals of human rights and civic engagement. Activities include informative lessons, group discussions, and workshopping alongside wellness and team building exercises to foster camaraderie amongst participants. The week culminates in project presentations exploring how students can make a profound difference in their communities.
This program not only allows students to engage in meaningful dialogue about activism, but also to spend a week on Kean University’s campus. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to network with students from across the state and collaborate with the Human Rights Institute professional staff.
Human Rights in Action will be taking place in both Union and Skyland campuses.
Registration is now open and discounts are available for school registrations: https://www.kean.edu/pre-college-and-summer-youth-programs
