All-female a cappella group to entertain, educate
and empower audiences at Kean University
On Saturday, January 28, students from Kean University’s Earth Science Club participated in a Surfrider organized dune grass planting event. The volunteers planted 15,000 plugs of dune grass on the sand dunes of Bradley Beach.

Journalism professor Pat Winters Lauro began teaching a class on news literacy at Kean this semester. Lauro and her students were recently featured in a NY Times article on fake news.
Kean University is celebrating Black History Month and the tremendous contributions people of African descent have made to this nation and the world.
U.S. Senator Cory Booker met with approximately 150 Kean University students at a Town Hall meeting at the Green Lane Building (GLAB) on Friday, February 3, in a session that lived up to his promise of a “very honest dialogue” to learn what is on the minds of the millennial generation.
Kean Junior Stephanie Eordandis has been selected to spend the spring semester in Tokyo studying at prestigious Sophia University. Eordandis was awarded two Gilman scholarships, which will finance her studies abroad.
