Michael Graves College Poster Competition
Theme: U.N. Global Goals for Sustainable Development
Eligibility: High School Juniors and Seniors
Requirement: Create a digital poster to promote one of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development

Terms of Participation:
- Participation in this competition is free.
- Limit of 20 posters per high school
- All works and design must be original. All imagery must be original.
Note: By submitting an entry, participants confirm that their work is entirely original:
- I represent that the submission is my own original work and that it is not copied from, nor does it include, any other person’s work. I grant Kean University a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, distribute and otherwise use and display my submission in connection with the Kean University’s Michael Graves College Graphic Design Poster Competition.
- The submissions should be named in English using the following convention:
Name_Surname_High School_Your Email Address_Telephone Number_01.jpg
For example:
Rose Smith_East Side High_rsmith@Domain.com_01.jpg
Note: MGC will need to exclude from the competition those posters with incorrect naming conventions.
- An email confirmation will be sent for all submissions received. If you do not receive a confirmation, please re-send your submission.
- All designers should follow the organizer’s official pages on Instagram (@mgckean), as well as visit the website for news on the contest.
FIRST PRIZE
$1,000 scholarship to Michael Graves College and MGC Hoodie
SECOND PRIZE
$100 Starbucks Gift Card and MGC Hoodie
THIRD PRIZE
$50 Starbucks Gift Card and MGC Hoodie
Terms for Submission of Designs:
- Posters should be 70 × 100 cm
- Resolution: 150 DPI
- Color mode: RGB
- Format: JPG, and 5 MB of maximum weight
- Posters should be designed vertically
- All techniques and designs are welcome
- A signed parental consent form is required for participation. Please attach it to your submission.
- Submit entries by 11:59 p.m. on March 15
Adjudication:
Judges will evaluate each submission on its own merit in a blind adjudication process that includes multiple rounds of review. In each round, a national pool of judges with expertise in graphic design and creative advertising will evaluate entries.
Judging Criteria:
ASK: You followed the design brief.

INSIGHT/DESIGN CONCEPT: You created something your target audience would engage with and might share.
