Teaching Philosophy
It used to be believed that good health was just the absence of disease. With continuous research, we are now aware that there are eight components of wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental, occupational, and financial. It is my responsibility as a fitness and health educator to express the importance of achieving optimal wellness in all eight areas. I strive to provide my students with the means and knowledge necessary to live a happy, healthy, and active lifestyle. "Life has its ups and downs...we call them squats."
