Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in what I believe are the four things everyone must do in order to be an effective teacher: know your subject, know your students, differentiate instruction and assess FOR learning. Every day I strive to gain more expertise in my subject area. I do everything I can in order to get to know my students, especially with regard to how they learn. I differentiate instruction to make sure ALL students in my class are learning and I assess in ways that facilitate the learning process as much as possible.
