Political Science

Political science offers a framework to understand how governments work in our world and society.

Kean political science majors examine political systems, processes and behaviors from throughout history and in present day. You learn to forecast political, economic and social trends; and gain in-depth understanding of elections, polling, platforms and the importance of voting. 

You can hone in on human rights issues, and study the politics of regions such as Southern Africa, Central and Latin America and the Middle East.

Kean political science graduates find careers in a variety of fields and enter graduate study in government, law and more. Poli sci gives you a solid foundation for success in politics and beyond.

Kean political science majors can choose to specialize in international/comparative politics or pursue a teaching certification. You can also complete your degree at Kean Ocean in Toms River.
