Laboratory Safety begins with awareness and continues with training.
Basic safety: Please watch the safety orientation video below, then read and sign the appropriate Safety Packet. The signed Lab Safety Agreement should be scanned and emailed to the Safety Officer, Nan Perigo, at nperigo@kean.edu or delivered to her mailbox in the main office in STEM 513.
Researchers in STEM should also be sure to read the complete Laboratory Safety Manual, as well as the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan (biological hazards) and/or the Chemical Hygiene Plan (chemical hazards). See below for links.
