Roseanne M. Mirabella, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Public Administration. She researches philanthropy and nonprofit education and critical perspectives on nonprofit organizing. She is co-editor of the Handbook of Critical Perspectives on Nonprofit Organizing and Voluntary Action the first major survey of critical scholarship within the field. She also co-edited Reframing Nonprofit Organizations: Democracy, Inclusion and Social Change, the first book of its kind to provide a critical perspective on nonprofit administration. Dr. Mirabella is the past President of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) and was received the 2024 Distinguished Achievement and Leadership in Nonprofit and Voluntary Action Research Award from the Association. She also served as President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration. She is currently a member of the leadership team of the Critical Perspectives Section of ARNOVA and was recently elected as a District I representative for the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).

Dr. Bok Gyo Jeong is an Associate Professor of Public Administration with a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. His teaching areas include Quantitative Methods, Comparative Public Administration, Strategic Planning, and Nonprofit Management. His research focuses on nonprofit accountability, social entrepreneurship, international development, and civil society partnerships with international organizations. His research has been published in multiple books and peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations, Public Administration Review, Nonprofit Policy Forum, Asian Survey, and Social Enterprise Journal. He has served as a Research Fellow at the UN Research Institute for Social Development. His service includes U.S. Chapter Chair of the Asian Association for Public Administration, Past President of the Section on Nonprofits, Board member of the Section on African Public Administration and the International Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, and Representative of the Global Civil Society common interest group and Board member of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action. He is also Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership.

Jung Ah (Claire) Yun is an Associate Professor of Public Administration. Her research focuses on public and nonprofit management, including collaborative governance, human resource management, and financial management. She was an adjunct faculty member at the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University- Newark while she was pursuing her doctoral work. Dr. Yun has extensive work experience as a manager at KEPCO (Korea Electric Corporation), managing contracts and accounts for overseas power projects and coordinating contractors, government officials, and members of international organizations. She has been serving as a board member or in a leadership role, including the SPALR (section on Personnel Administration & Labor Relations) and the SKPA (Section of Korean Public Administration). Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Public Administration Review, Public Personnel Management, and Journal of Public Affairs Education

Carey H. Brown has an 18-year career in the public sector and is currently serving as a Board of Trustee on the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) and on the State of NJ Dept. of Pension and Benefits Actuary Committee. Carey was an Investigator for 11 years in the Department of Treasury and holds a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. His research interests focus on minority male student retention, student success, first-generation learners, international students, student-faculty engagement, cognitive and non-cognitive methods of learning, diversity in the curriculum, and inclusion of students. He taught as a Part-Time Lecturer at the School of Public Affairs and Administration for Rutgers University - Newark campus and Adjunct professor teaching College Success Seminar courses in the Business Division at Essex County College- Newark, NJ campus.

Dr. Ngoc Dao is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Dao, by training, is an applied economist who studies the economics of retirement and long-term care workforce in the United States. Her work focuses on understanding how public policies influenced retirement behaviors, poverty, and inequality among older adults. She also works on evaluating labor and health policies related to long-term care workforces in the US. The Social Security Administration through the University of Wisconsin-Madison funds is part of her research. Before joining Kean in Fall 2021, she was a research postdoc fellow at the Retirement and Disability Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Greg Witkowski is an Associate Professor of Public Administration. His research areas are disaster relief and recovery, philanthropy, place-based giving, and international humanitarian relief. He has authored or edited three books, published in numerous journals and edited volumes, and been quoted in trade and mass media. His current book project focuses on the role of nonprofits in the relief and recovery of New York after the September 11th attacks. Dr. Witkowski has taught across the curriculum from bachelor’s to master’s to doctoral students. At Kean, Dr. Witkowski is teaching an experiential philanthropy course in which students grant money to a local nonprofit. He is also teaching planning, disaster management, and the introduction to the nonprofit sector. Greg has enjoyed working collaboratively to build programs that advance nonprofit knowledge and improve practice. He launched the Georgetown University Press series “Philanthropy, Nonprofits, and Nongovernmental Organizations” and helped found the first school dedicated to the study of philanthropy at Indiana University. He comes to Kean from Columbia University, where he remains an affiliate faculty of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness.

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration. Her research interests focus on information and technology management, public policy, and citizen participation, all of which are deeply interconnected within the context of digital government. Specifically, her academic work explores the use of ICT in the public sector to enhance citizen participation, improve governance practices, and promote social equity. Dr. Kim earned her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she is currently a Lab Fellow at the Digital Governance and Analytics Lab. Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Public Integrity, Government Information Quarterly, Asia Pacific Journal of Public Administration, and Public Administration.
