About
The Department of Educational Leadership and Secondary Education offers a variety of programs for aspiring educators and administrators. Our programs are designed to develop experienced administrators to effectively lead school districts and educational organizations. The department offers the following programs:
- Doctor of Educational Leadership
- Master of Arts in Educational Administration
- Supervisor and Principal
- School Business Administrator
- Supervisor, Principal, and School Business Administrator
Post-Master’s Certificates are available in:
- Digital Leadership
- Principal
- School Business Administrator
- Supervisor
- Supervisor, Principal, and School Business Administrator
In collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts and the Hennings College of Science, Mathematics and Technology, we also offer secondary education degrees that lead to state teaching certification. Secondary education teachers help the next generation to reach their goals, and prepare young people for success in college and in their future careers.

In collaboration with the School of Integrative Science and Technology (IST), students may pursue five-year joint degrees in the STEM education fields. Candidate's earn a Bachelor of Science in the first four years, and a Master of Arts in Instruction and Curriculum in the fifth year.
