Campuses Closed on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20, Due to Weather

Due to the winter weather forecast, all classes and activities at Kean’s main campus in Union, Kean Ocean and Kean Skylands are canceled on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20. Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, January 21. Only personnel who are essential during weather emergencies should report to work as required on Sunday and Monday. Employees with questions about their status should consult their supervisors. Keanu’s Kitchen will be open for on-campus residents from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. to midnight on Monday.

Freshman Online

  • Activate your Keanwise Account.
  • Secure your spot at Kean. 
    • If you haven’t done so already, log into your Cougar App portal and submit your $95 tuition deposit payment which will be credited towards your first-semester tuition. 
    • Apply for Financial Aid through the FASFA. Deadline for the fall is June 30.
    • Complete your Financial Obligation Agreement through Keanwise
  • Schedule your placement testing. Freshman students are required to take the University’s placement test for math and english. For more information click here.
  • Register for classes in KeanWise. For questions about registration, contact (908) 73-REGME
  • Attend New Student Orientation. Orientation offers a chance to meet your classmates and become more familiar with Kean before you start the semester. Learn more about New Student Orientation at https://www.kean.edu/accepted/new-student-orientation.

Transfer Online

  • Activate your Keanwise Account.
  • Secure your spot at Kean. 
    • If you haven’t done so already, log into your Cougar App portal and submit your $95 tuition deposit payment which will be credited towards your first-semester tuition. 
    • Apply for Financial Aid through the FASFA. Deadline for the fall is June 30.

  • Attend academic advising. Students are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to registering for courses each semester. To schedule advisement visit your cougar app portal.
  • Register for classes in KeanWise. For questions about registration, contact (908) 73-REGME.
  • Attend New Student Orientation. Orientation offers a chance to meet your classmates and become more familiar with Kean before you start the semester. Learn more about New Student Orientation at www.kean.edu/transfer-orientation.

Graduate Online

  • Pay your Graduate Tuition Deposit. If you haven’t done so already, log into your Cougar App portal and submit your $175 tuition deposit payment which will be credited towards your first-semester tuition. 
  • Contact your Academic Program Coordinator listed in your acceptance letter to schedule your preregistration advisement appointment for assistance with selecting courses.   To find their contact information, visit the program page.
  • Register for graduate classes in KeanWise. For questions about registration, contact (908) 73-REGME.
  • Attend Graduate Orientation. At this event, you will meet your Graduate Program Coordinator, learn about Kean's robust student services, and introduce yourself to future classmates and faculty.
