Mental health includes our psychological, emotional, and social well-being and it affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health further helps us determine how we handle stress, retionshiops, and making choices. The importance of mental health is critical in every stage of life.
Different factors affect mental health such as:
- Biological Factors such as genes or Brain chemistry
- Life Experiences such as trauma or abuse
- Family History of mental health problems
Participating in self-care means taking the time to do things the help you live well and improve both your physical health and mental health. Getting regular exercise, eating healthy, prioritizing sleep, relaxing, and setting goals and priorities are all part of a good self care routine.
