Campuses Closed on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20, Due to Weather

Due to the winter weather forecast, all classes and activities at Kean’s main campus in Union, Kean Ocean and Kean Skylands are canceled on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20. Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, January 21. Only personnel who are essential during weather emergencies should report to work as required on Sunday and Monday. Employees with questions about their status should consult their supervisors. Keanu’s Kitchen will be open for on-campus residents from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. to midnight on Monday.

ADMISSIONS ITEM HOW TO SUBMIT TO KEAN UNIVERSITY'S ADMISSIONS OFFICE
High School Transcript Submit a request to your high school counselor or college office for a copy of your transcript to be emailed/faxed/mailed to the Kean Office of Admissions. See bottom of page for contact information.
SAT/ACT Scores

- Select Kean University when you register for your exam, or on test day.

- Submit a request online for your SAT/ACT scores to be sent to Kean after you test. 

- Kean's School Codes: SAT: 2517; ACT: 2582.

- Request that your high school email/fax/mail your scores to Kean University.
Essay/Personal Statement

- Upload to your Kean Application/Common Application.

-Mail/fax/email a .doc or .pdf copy of your essay to the Kean Office of Admissions.
Previous College/University Transcripts Submit a request to each of your previously attended College/University's Registrar's Office to have an official paper/electronic transcript sent to Kean University Admissions Office.
Letters of Recommendation

- Use the Recommendation Tool on your Kean Application or CougarApp Portal to electronically send Recommendation requests to your recommender. 

- Provide pre-addressed, stamped envelopes to the recommender to mail their signed letter in a sealed envelope to the Kean Office of Admissions. 

- Have your recommender email the letter of recommendation in a .doc or .pdf  format from his or her professional email account to the Kean Admissions email account at admitme@kean.edu.
Portfolio / Auditions

Electronic portfolio submissions are required for the following programs:

Portfolios should be submitted via your Kean Application or CougarApp Portal. Competetive applicants may be required to attend a virtual or In-Person Audition. 
Proof of RN License

For applicants applying to Nursing, proof of an RN license should be uploaded as a supporting document via your CougarApp Portal after submitting your Kean Application. Proof of an RN license can be obtained at www.njconsumeraffairs.gov.
Nursing Health Clearance/Criminal Background Check

If you are deemed a candidate for one of Kean's Nursing programs, you will be contacted via email to proceed with a health clearance and criminal background check through CastleBranch.

When placing an order, please use Kean's unique package ID: KA63bgdtim. Upon receiving the results, please upload a copy as a supplemental item via your CougarApp Portal.

Music Contact the Conservatory of Music to schedule your audition date at (908) 737-4330, or email us at music@kean.edu.
NACES Transcript Evaluation Request that the NACES accredited evaluation service mail an official copy of your evaluation to the Kean of Office of Admissions. 
TOEFL/IELTS Score Report

- Select Kean University when you register for your exam, or on test day.

- Submit a request online for your TOEFL/IELTS  scores to be sent to Kean after you test.
