Kean University Student-Athlete Anthony Perrotta of Essex County Named to Inaugural IMLCA All-Region Team
UNION, N.J.- Kean University alumnus Anthony Perrotta ’16 has been named to the inaugural Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) All-East Region team as an honorable mention selection. Perrotta, a Roseland resident, is only the fourth Kean student-athlete in 44 years to be named All-ECAC. The Cougars' lone representative on the Skyline Conference First-Team, he played in all 18 games and racked up 23 goals, and led the team in 21 assists, 52 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. "Coaching Anthony for the past four years has been a coach's dream.” said Shelley Sheiner, Kean University men’s lacrosse coach. “His hard work and dedication to the Kean Athletics program and to the University have been exceptional, so to be named to the inaugural IMLCA All-East Region Team is a fitting culmination to his outstanding collegiate career." Perrotta, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Management at Kean in May 2016, is now an assistant manager at Parkway Iron and Metal. “It's a great honor to be awarded this individual accolade,” said Perrotta of his All-East Region recognition. “I'm glad my hard work on and off the field paid off and has been recognized, am I am especially honored that I can represent my team and Kean University."
