Kean Singers Share the Stage with America’s Got Talent Finalists
Dec 23, 2017
The Kean University Gospel Choir is racking up more professional credits. The choir, which won McDonald's Gospelfest at the Prudential Center in Newark for the last two years, recently sang at Enlow Recital Hall with Sons of Serendip, the 2009 America's Got Talent finalists.
The choir backed up the group on three songs – Oh Holy Night, The Christmas Song and Hallelujah — as part of Sons of Serendip’s Kean Stage Christmas Beyond the Lights concert.
The choir, under the direction of Malcolm Evans, also rehearsed with Sons of Serendip, getting pointers from the group and learning first hand what it takes to be a professional singer.
