Kean University will host a series of in-person commencement ceremonies on its Union campus the week of July 27 at Alumni Stadium to celebrate the tremendous accomplishments of the Class of 2020 amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, giving more than 3,000 undergraduates and nearly 700 graduate students the chance to cross the stage and be recognized in front of family and friends.

Kean Celebrates Nearly 4,000 Graduates in Virtual Commencement

The first Kean University class to graduate in a virtual Commencement celebrated in a ceremony complete with a tassel turn, personalized videos and speeches from special guests including Whoopi Goldberg. Nearly 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students earning degrees in dozens of fields marked the joyous day in living rooms, backyards and chat rooms during the online event.
