Faculty and Staff Information
Join the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs in celebrating the achievements of Kean University's 2025 honors graduates at Honors Convocation. The event will be held on Friday, May 2 at 2:00pm at the Harwood Arena.
Faculty are invited to participate in the procession and cheer their students on during the ceremony and the following reception. Faculty must RSVP here no later than March 22. Participating faculty must wear regalia and be ready to step-off no later than 1:30pm. If you do not have your own regalia, you may order it here (regalia for commencement may be used for Honors Convocation too). Please note that regalia will not be provided, so plan in advance accordingly. Orders must be received by March 28 and picked up at the Kean Bookstore beginning April 29.
Staff members can support Honors Convocation by volunteering to become a marshal. Marshals assist by checking-in students, leading the student procession, guiding students to the stage, ushering guests to their seats, etc. Due to the limited seating, marshaling is the only way in which staff will be able to participate in the day’s festivities (unless they are a ticketed guest of a student). Staff interested in participating in Honors Convocation 2025 must complete this form to indicate their interest and availability no later than March 22. Please note that marshals must attend an in-person orientation session on Wednesday, April 30 from 10:00-11:00a.m. in the Harwood Arena.
Eligible students will be contacted via email during the week of March 17. Students may have questions regarding their eligibility status, so be prepared to have these conversations by familiarizing yourself with the Graduation with Honors policy.
The Honors Convocation website has more details regarding the event. However, additional questions related to Honors Convocation may be directed to honors@kean.edu. Questions related to regalia and/or commencement should be directed to commencement@kean.edu.
Thank you for your support of our honors graduates!
