Joseph Amorino
Professor Amorino has created an exciting Art Education Program that leads to K-12 Art Teacher Certification. A graduate of Columbia University, he is an artist, researcher, and author who has cultivated a distinguished psychology-based program at Kean University in which future art teachers understand the areas of the human intellect that underpin the artistic process. Dr. Amorino seeks to foster art educators who not only teach artistic skills, concepts, and terminology, but also advance art as a subject area that makes critical contributions to the full intellectual, emotional, social, and creative development of K-12 learners.

Gilda Del Risco
Professor Del Risco is the Coordinator of the Graduate and Undergraduate Programs in Bilingual Education. She has taught Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language for Early Childhood and Elementary students as well as working as a Professional Development Specialists. She teaches courses on Methods of Teaching Second Languages, The History of Bilingual Students in the US, and Research Methods in the Second Language Classroom.

Rachel Evans
Professor Evans is the Theatre Education Coordinator at Kean University, home of NJ’s only B.A. in Theatre with Theatre Certification. She teaches courses in Script Analysis, Creative Drama, Theatre for Young Audiences, and Methods of Teaching Theatre, as well as mentors student teachers in the field. She publishes theatre reviews regularly in Theatre Journal, and directs children's theatre productions geared towards audiences from the very young to high schoolers.

Marshall Hayes
Professor Hayes serves as the Program Coordinator for STEM Education, for the Research First Initiative, and for academic partnerships with Kean’s sister campus in Wenzhou, China. Dr. Hayes promotes innovation in STEAM education by designing creative and immersive classroom experiences for students and by facilitating workshops on scientific teaching for future STEAM educators. He specializes in active-learning approaches, including authentic research projects, interactive computational activities, elaborate role-playing scenarios, discussion-driven case studies, structured reading groups and critical thinking.

Barbara Lee
Professor Lee is Undergraduate Coordinator with a general background in Special Education and a speciality in behavior management and developmental disabilities. Have taught Introductory Field, Human Exceptionality, and Classroom management for many years. In the past, I consulted school districts in team building, co-teaching, inclusion, and managing classroom behaviors.

Sehba Mahmood
Professor Mahmood is currently the undergraduate coordinator for the Early Childhood Education Program. Students who complete this program are awarded a B.A. through Kean University and Teacher Certification from the New Jersey Department of Education for teaching preschool through to third grade with an endorsement in teacher of students with disabilities (P-3/TSD).

Lyn Schraer-Joiner
Professor Schraer-Joiner is the Coordinator for Music Education and Assessment and is an Associate Professor at Kean University. Schraer is the author of the book Music for Children with Hearing Loss: A Resource for Parents and Teachers (Oxford University Press, 2014) and she is co- director for the Kean University/Community Access Unlimited Collaborative. Her research findings have been presented on both the national and international levels and published in journals such as Early Childhood Development and Care, The Music Educators Journal (MEJ), and Music Education Research Schraer taught instrumental, vocal, and general music, grades K-12 in the public schools of New York for five years and has taught on the undergraduate level for 16 years.

Lisa Szekeres
Professor Szekeres is the program coordinator for physical education and health teacher certification. She taught in the Union public school system before coming "back" to Kean, Lisa did both her undergraduate and masters work at Kean University! She was also a member of the women's tennis team while completing her undergraduate degree.

Fran Stavola Daly
Professor Stavola Daly, CTRS, CPRP, FDRT is the Assistant Chair of the School of Health and Human Performance. She has a degree from Temple University in Health Education/Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Recreation Therapist (CTRS). Her areas of academic instruction is in gerontology and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
