Ken Magos

Trained at the University of Washington, Seattle (B.A.), and New York’s Manhattan School of Music (M.M., Vocal Performance), Ken has been an adjunct professor with Kean’s Theatre Conservatory since 2022. His performance credits span opera, musical theatre, TV and film. Favorite stage credits include God (The Apple Tree) at the Chicago Theatre, Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame), Benjamin Stone (Follies), Emile de Becque (South Pacific), King Arthur (Spamalot), and Signor Naccarelli (Light in the Piazza). Opera/Concert performances include Garibaldo (Rodelinda), Albert (Werther), Poeta (Il Turco in Italia), Dancairo (Carmen) for Pittsburgh Opera, Sonora (La Fanciulla del West) for Santa Fe Opera, Petruchio (Taming of the Shrew), Tenor Soloist (Mozart Requiem) for Northwest Sinfonietta, Tenor Soloist (Rachmaninoff’s The Bells), and concerts at Heinz Hall (Pittsburgh), Lincoln Center (New York), and Teatro Caio Melisso (Spoleto, Italy). Ken has directed multiple productions in NJ/NY including Peter and the Starcatcher, Jane Eyre, Edges, and The Spitfire Grill for Seton Hall University, A Linda Bell Christmas (world premiere) for the NY Theatre Festival, The Last 5 Years, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, RENT, A Little Night Music, and The Rocky Horror Show for South Mountain TheaterWorks. Musical Directing credits include Gypsy, Jekyll and Hyde, RENT, Songs for a New World, Miss Saigon, and South Pacific. Ken is Host, Series Creator and co-Executive Producer of the PBS television shows Drive By History and Drive By History: Eats.
