Teaching Philosophy
There are many solutions to a single theatrical challenge and the small choices we make along the way help to establish us as artists. The theatrical artist must embrace the idea of a million answers and the joy of collaboration within an ensemble. No two artists travel the same path and each must find their own way. As an instructor, I'm here to coach young artists while passing on the rich legacy of the artists and technicians that came before us. A theatrical artist must learn their craft well but be willing to make mistakes along the way, in order to find their own voice. I believe it is important to design with your heart as well as your head and that theatrical artists must push the limits but, ultimately, serve the story.
