Teaching Philosophy

Education can lead us to adopting different perspectives from what we are used to. I think the strength of teaching public administration comes from understanding and developing public service, which is critical for our society. It has been a great experience to think outside of myself as an individual, and to further consider public values that we hold for our society. Thus, I am trying to ask myself how my teaching is related or applicable to students' current or future career. One of the advantages I have is that I have experience working as a public employee, so I can incorporate what I experienced into my teaching. Thus, my students practice putting organizational culture of public organizations or importance of leadership into their own language.
