Teaching Philosophy
In restructuring the hierarchies typically associated with the classroom environment, my students and I also reconsider the writing process. My pedagogy advocates for diversity in narrative and form, promoting the notion that students learn and think differently, and that these differences are accepted and worthy. I consider the classroom a space to build community through listening, discussing, reflecting and developing our understanding of ourselves and the communities we inhabit.
