Find Your Major

“What is your major?” Students who decide on a major are more likely to graduate and experience academic success. The content below outlines steps, including self-exploration through interest inventories, major/career research and using University resources, to help you on the path toward major declaration and, ultimately, graduation.

Who are Undecided/Exploratory Students?

  • Students who are undecided on a major or career
  • Students waiting to be accepted into a major with additional requirements
  • Students who have a major but may be considering changing

As an Undecided student, who is my Advisor?

Our office! As an undecided student, you will be advised by CAPS until you declare your major. You can find your advisor's contact information in your Student Experience Portal. If you are a student in a specialized program such as EOF, SUPERA or the Bridge to Success Program, then your assigned Counselor will serve as your advisor.
