Forensic Science
Forensic science is the application of scientific principles and techniques to analyze evidence in criminal investigations, civil cases and public safety matters. This multidisciplinary field combines biology, chemistry and analytical reasoning to uncover the facts behind forensic evidence, playing a crucial role in the justice system.
Kean University’s forensic science program offers two concentrations—biology and chemistry—designed to prepare students for careers in forensic laboratories, law enforcement agencies and scientific research. Both tracks emphasize ethical professionalism, rigorous scientific inquiry and hands-on laboratory experience using industry-standard equipment in cutting-edge facilities. Students collaborate with faculty and peers on research projects, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to excel in forensic science and related scientific fields or pursue advanced graduate studies.

Kean forensic science students conduct real-world research in state-of-the-art facilities.
