Advanced Placement (AP) Credits
Kean University grants credit to students who have successfully passed the Advanced Placement Examination of the College Entrance Examination Board with a grade of 3 or higher (with some exceptions that require a 4 or higher). Six semester hours of credit are granted for full year AP courses. Three semester hours of credit are granted for one semester AP courses.
Advanced Placement credit is recognized as fulfilling General Education requirements where applicable and is treated as ungraded, but successfully completed transfer credit.

In order to be evaluated for Advanced Placement courses, students must submit an official score report from the College Board to Kean University. Official score reports are required from the College Board in order to award credit at Kean University.
To receive Advanced Placement credit, official test scores should be submitted electronically to Kean University. For both the Advanced Placement and CLEP examinations, the college code for Kean University is 2517.
