Biotechnology Science (M.S.) Admission Requirements
In addition to the University’s admission requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- 3.0 cumulative grade point average (lower GPAs will be considered based on overall strength of application)
- 3.0 minimum GPA in all science and math courses
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Optional, not required: GRE (Graduate Record Examination) or MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) scores
- Two letters of recommendation
- Departmental interview may be required
- Professional résumé/CV
- Personal statement
- Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score reports (International Students Only)
- DAT (Dental Admissions Test) option
Students holding degrees in disciplines other than biology or chemistry are encouraged to apply with the understanding they may be required to successfully complete the undergraduate prerequisites before becoming fully matriculated in the M.S. in Biotechnology Science program.
Prerequisite Coursework
- Two years of college biology including either cell biology or biochemistry or equivalent, two years of college chemistry, and one year of college mathematics
