Business Administration (MBA) Admission Requirements
Global Management
In addition to the University requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- 3.0 cumulative grade point average (lower GPAs will be considered based on overall strength of application)
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- GMAT/GRE is waived for applicants for the spring 2025 and fall 2025 semesters.
If the GMAT/GRE is required, one of the following will enable you to have the exam requirement waived:- Have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university AND have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Have already earned a graduate degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.*
- Have passed the CPA certifying exam or hold the CPA license. Copy of CPA exam results or copy of CPA license is needed.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Professional résumé/CV
- Personal statement
- Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score reports
*Foreign academic degrees must be equivalent to the bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree conferred by the U.S. regionally-accredited college or university. International applicants must have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by a credential evaluation service that is a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
Students holding degrees in disciplines other than management or business are encouraged to apply with the understanding they may be required to successfully complete the undergraduate prerequisites before becoming fully matriculated in the MBA program in Global Management.
Executive Option
In addition to the University requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited college or university
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (lower GPAs will be considered based on strength of overall application)
- 3+ years of managerial work experience
- Two letters of recommendation (one from current supervisor)
- Professional Resume/CV
- Personal essay explaining candidate’s interest in the program
- Personal interview may be required
- Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score reports (International Students Only)
Students holding degrees in disciplines other than business management are encouraged to apply with the understanding that they may be required to successfully complete the undergraduate prerequisites before becoming fully matriculated in the MBA program in Global Management.
Prequalification Requirement
Before starting the graduate courses, students have to fulfill the pre qualification requirement. Students can either:

Show that they took these, or similar, courses in their undergraduate studies and received at least a B grade, OR
- Take these courses at Kean University prior to starting the graduate courses. No credits towards the degree will be given. Students must pass these courses with a B or better grade.
