Accounting (M.S.) Admission Requirements
In addition to the University’s admission requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- 3.0 cumulative grade point average (lower GPAs will be considered based on overall strength of application)
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Submit GMAT or GRE test scores
GMAT/GRE is waived for applicants for the spring 2025 and fall 2025 semesters.
If the GMAT/GRE was required, the following will enable you to have the exam waived:
- Have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university AND have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have already earned a graduate degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.*
- Have passed the CPA certifying exam or hold the CPA license. Copy of CPA exam results or copy of CPA license is needed.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Professional résumé/CV
- Personal statement
- Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score reports (International Students Only)
*Foreign academic degrees must be equivalent to the bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree conferred by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. International applicants must have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by a credential evaluation service that is a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
PREREQUISITES
An undergraduate accounting degree or Principles of Accounting I and II and Intermediate Accounting I and II, or related accounting/business experience. Students who do not have these prerequisites may take ACCT 5001 and/or ACCT 5002, as determined by the coordinator at admission.
