Advertising
From live billboards to Tiktok videos and TV commercials, advertising art directors are idea generators and brand storytellers.
In the BFA Advertising program, students focus on conceiving and creating ad campaigns you see across media channels, including social, broadcast, print, interactive, mobile, video-sharing, other screen-based media, out-of-home (outdoor, public), and all the wonderfully unconventional experiences and media seen every day.
The curriculum includes a design foundation — design theory, liberal arts and art design history — and major courses in advertising design, branding, interactive design, experiences, mobile media for advertising, animation for storytelling, and state-of-the-art tech, such as AR (augmented reality) and 360 video storytelling.

From the moment I stepped in I felt the extraordinary passion the professors have for what they teach and their students as well. My professors in the Robert Busch School of Design / Michael Graves College [MGC] became my greatest mentors who want nothing but to share the ways to get ourselves out in the world and success for their students. The incredible experience the professors have helped me realize that my time at MGC is my golden ticket into the wonderful world of advertising and design; all while learning that we AD lovers must understand how humans think and to put them first.
