WHAT ARE THE OFFICE HOURS?

2013 HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Please note: Office hours may differ during winter break, spring break and summer session

CAN I ACCESS MY ACCOUNT OR VIEW MY CHARGES ONLINE?
The Office of Student Accounting is now 100% paperless, and for your convenience, utilizes the KeanWise student portal for all Student Accounting processes.
Access your KeanWise account and select the Student Menu under the Financial Information section to find information on:
E-Bill – View your account activity details and history which are updated in real time and available 24 hours a day/7 days
E-Pay – Pay your bill online or enroll in Tuition Management Systems (TMS) Payment Plan
E-Flex Plan – Transfer money to your Kean ID card for use around campus to purchase food or books
E-Refund - Sign up for Direct Deposit to expedite your refund
E-1098T Enrollment – Sign up for optional electronic delivery of your 1098-T form that can be used to compute eligibility for education tax credits when filing your income tax
 

WHEN IS MY PAYMENT DUE?
The Office of Student Accounting communicates payment due dates via e-mail using the student’s Kean University e-mail address. Check your Kean.edu email for E-bill notifications and due date reminders, as well as payment receipts and confirmations. The Office of Student Accounting also posts Tuition and Fees information online for your convenience.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?
The Office of Student Accounting offers several options for making payments:

WHAT ARE FINANCIAL HOLDS AND HOW CAN THEY BE REMOVED FROM A STUDENT'S ACCOUNT?
Kean University reserves the right to place holds or restrictions on past due accounts. If you do not meet your tuition obligation by the due date, your schedule may be forfeited or a restriction may be placed on your account. Log onto KeanWise to pay your balance and bring your account current.
 
WHY DOES MY STATEMENT SHOW "ESTIMATED" AID?
Estimated financial aid is based on your financial aid award for the term. The process of disbursing financial aid begins after the add/drop date published each semester and after all requested documents are submitted to the financial aid office. Before aid is disbursed, the Office of Financial Aid is required to adjust awards and total cost of attendance if the student dropped credits during the registration period.
Additionally, awards may be adjusted if there were changes to the student's on-campus housing status and after the third week's attendance has been submitted by all instructors.

WHEN WILL MY REFUND CHECK BE READY?
If a valid credit balance exists on the Student Account, a refund will be processed as quickly as possible and mailed to your home of record. All refund checks are mailed to the current address in our database. You are advised to keep your address updated at all times.
Please note that for refunds of loan proceeds or other Financial Aid for a given semester, the refund check cannot be issued until the funds are received and posted to the Student's Account.
To expedite your refund process, you have the option of registering for Direct Deposit. You may do this by logging in to your KeanWise account.

WHY AM I BEING CHARGED FOR HEALTH INSURANCE?
New Jersey state law requires that all full-time students participate in a qualifying student health insurance program. It is possible to waive the health insurance fee provided you are covered under a personal or parent policy. To enroll or waive coverage, please visit http://www.firststudent.com/. You may provide proof of insurance by completing the on-line waiver by the published deadline. Please visit the Kean University Health Services website for additional Health Insurance information and deadlines.
