Kean University to Host the 13th Annual New Jersey Communication Association Conference
UNION, N.J. – The Department of Communication at Kean University will host the 13th Annual New Jersey Communication Association (NJCA) conference, Communicating for Connections: Instruction for Praxis, on Saturday, March 28 at 8 a.m. in Kean’s Center for Academic Success. Dr. Sandra Petronio, author and expert in communication and privacy, will deliver the keynote address.
Petronio is a professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and a faculty member in the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Center for Bioethics. She has published numerous books and research articles on privacy, disclosure and confidentiality, including the award-winning book Boundaries of Privacy. Petronio received the Bernard J. Brommel Family Communication Award for outstanding scholarship and distinguished service in family communication by the National Communication Association (NCA).
The NJCA conference showcases traditional papers, panels and roundtable discussions to promote, sustain and to recognize excellence in vital areas of communication scholarship.
