Technology Lounge

At Kean University, we understand the importance of preparing our students to meet the challenges of the Information Age and of providing them with the tools to take advantage of it. As a comprehensive interactive university, we strive to prepare our students to be equipped for a future of learning. 

The Miron Student Center Technology Lounge is conveniently located in the Miron Student Center Atrium, Room 105. The Tech Lounge is open to all current Kean University students, faculty, and staff.  The Lounge has recently been updated and all of the desktops have been removed.  Students are welcome to work from their personal laptops.  If you do not own a laptop, the Tech Lounge is equipped with a Laptop kiosk that University students may use to borrow a laptop on a temporary basis.  You must use your Kean email username and password in order to borrow a laptop.  All laptops must remain in the Technology Lounge.  

A current Kean University ID is required and must be submitted to lounge attendants prior to the use of the facility. 

Effective Wednesday, September 1, 2021, the University will require everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks inside all Kean buildings and classrooms.  The only exceptions are when an individual is in a private space, such as a residence hall room or office, or when eating or drinking.  

MSC TECHNOLOGY LOUNGE HOURS OF OPERATION (SPRING 2022 SEMESTER):

Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. 

Friday: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. 

Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
