Classified Employees & Supervisors: ePAR system availaibility

The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce the implementation of the new ePAR system for classified staff and their supervisors beginning with the 2015-2016 evaluation cycle.  The electronic Performance Appraisal Review (ePAR) system is a statewide initiative implemented by the Civil Service Commission.  The ePAR system will simplify and automate the classified employee evaluation process, eliminating the need for paper-based forms and the time-consuming tasks associated with managing the process.  Use of the system is state mandated.

Users will be able to access the securely-hosted system from any internet connected PC with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 (at a minimum) through the My New Jersey website. The system is user friendly and current evaluation documents are in electronic form.  It allows for easy tracking and reporting capabilities, auto-scoring, and the ability to manage back and forth review from manager/supervisor/employee.

Supervisors will be required to complete the final employee evaluations for the 2014-2015 rating cycle using the paper-based forms.  After July 20, 2015, classified employees and supervisors will gain access to the ePAR system through their My New Jersey User ID.

            10 am & 2 pm for Classified Employees

The upcoming review cycle of 2015-2016 will be completed in ePAR, and as such due dates are amended as noted below:

Job Expectations,  August 31, 2015

Interim Evaluation, January 11, 2016

Final Evaluation, June 30, 2016
