Kean, a comprehensive New Jersey state university, is seeking faculty and staff for its additional campus site in Wenzhou, China. Wenzhou is one of the most vibrant and economically advanced cities on China’s East Coast, located one hour by plane and just over three hours by high-speed train from Shanghai and Hong Kong. Launched in 2012, Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) sits on approximately 500 beautiful acres and is now in the midst of a growth phase that will bring enrollment to more than 5,000 students.

Managing Assistant Director II
Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Business and Public Management at Kean USA and the Associate Dean of the College of Business and Public Management at Wenzhou-Kean University, the Managing Assistant Director manages the Kean Entrepreneurship and Leadership Center (KELC) at Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China. At the KELC, students learn about the overall entrepreneurial process and network with faculty, staff, alumni and entrepreneurs as they acquire the education, skills and tools to succeed in the launch of a new business. The KELC provides students with the expertise, knowledge and support they need to become effective entrepreneurs and future business leaders.
The Managing Assistant Director manages external engagement and participation in projects, programs and activities that advance entrepreneurial learning and leadership skills; participates in the development and effectuation of Center goals, policies and procedures which involves development of college policy for direction of the KELC and its related programs; and does related work as required. This position is contingent upon the continued operation of the Wenzhou-Kean University extension campus and is funded by WKU. This is an international assignment and the hired employee must be willing and able to relocate to Wenzhou, China. Travel is required to the Kean USA campus.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college; fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, both oral and written; and at least two years of business experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Previous entrepreneurial experience and business experience/a business network in China is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
