Student for a Day

Student for a Day (SFAD) at Kean University Program

“As a parent attendee, I felt the experience was very helpful and was insightful Thank you for the opportunity.”

Parent Guest

“I think it was a great experience. The chances to sit in on a class and see what it was like makes me feel less nervous about going to college. Walking around the campus let me experience what it would be like going from class to class on campus. ...I would recommend doing this to all my friends.”

High School Student from Piscataway High School

“…It was helpful to be on campus during an actual school day. I felt very comfortable…Thank you”

High School Student from Hunterdon Central Regional High School

Be a Kean University student for a day!

Participating in Kean’s Student For A Day (SFAD)program will allow you a chance to explore the University by actually becoming a part of our community. SFAD is open for high school seniors. Over the time span of a typical day at Kean, you will have the opportunity to be a Kean student and:

  • attend a class
  • meet Kean professors and current students
  • engage in student activities
  • tour our beautiful campus
  • learn more about Admissions, Financial Aid and University Foundation Scholarships

SFAD program begins at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome session, where you will be greeted and hosted by current Kean students. A SFAD visit lasts for about three to four hours.

A personal choice, a family’s decision

We understand that selecting a college/university is many times a family decision, so we encourage you to bring your parent(s), guardian(s) or other family member(s) along with you. While you are in class, your guest(s) may attend Parents’ Class, an information session exclusively designed for parents and family.
