Kean is just 30 minutes from bustling New York City, and a short distance from Newark Liberty International Airport. The campus is easily accessible via car, bus, and rail transportation. The Union Train Station services New Jersey Transit’s Raritan Valley line, and is only a two minute walk to campus.
You will experience all that Kean has to offer at our Undergraduate Open House! You'll tour our tree-lined, 185-acre campus, and meet our world-class faculty, students, and staff. Prospective students will learn about our 50+ academic programs, explore student clubs at our University Expo, and discover the robust students services we provide across campus. You'll also have the opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art academic buildings and facilities, as well as our highly regarded residence halls.

Get all the details on what it means to be a Kean student through an information session and tour hosted by Kean Student Ambassadors! This campus visit lasts approximately two hours, and is highlighted by a walking tour of our beautiful, tree-lined campus. You'll also learn about our extensive student services, clubs and extracurricular opportunities, and options to study abroad. This event is designed for individual students and their families, and is offered throughout the week and on Saturdays. This session is focused on financing your education at Kean University. As the most affordable comprehensive university in New Jersey, we work with students and their families to provide the most financial support and assistance possible. Numerous programs exist to help world-class students like you obtain a college education.
Professionals from the offices of Financial Aid, Scholarships, Student Accounting, and Admissions provide information on financial aid including Federal and state grants (money that need not be repaid), scholarships, low-interest loans, payment plans, and the Federal College Work-Study Program. Even though you may not think you qualify for financial assistance, the facts may surprise you.
Our next Financing Your Kean Degree Session is on Thursday, April 26.
Appointments are available for freshman applicants to fast-track the application and admission process into a single day. Students meet one-on-one with their Admissions Counselor to complete their freshman application, submit their official hard-copy high school transcript, and copies of their SAT/ACT score reports. Students who visit Kean for Instant Decision Day receive a $75 application fee waiver.
Please note that prospective students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a 1080 SAT/21 ACT to qualify for an accelerated decision.
Students must register in advance to receive an accelerated review.

- Touring our beautiful campus and residence halls

This information session is focused on the Exceptional Educational Opportunities (EEO)/Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program, and will provide you the opportunity to tour our world-class campus and residence halls. Along with your EEO/EOF Program presentation and campus tour, you can:
- Submit your Kean University on-line application or Common Application indicating “EEO/EOF” Freshman
- Submit your H.S. Transcript and SAT/ACT scores
- Submit essays and letters of recommendation
- Learn tips on filing your FAFSA
- Submit household financial Information (IRS TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPT)
- Create a instant Video Personal Statement
